    here's a pic for reference on what the gun looks like from the factory;
(yes i stole hossb7's picture because i didn't want to resize mine :o)

i dont know anything about laser sights, but i want one :hsd:
and i've been looking for 1 for awhile specific to my cw9 because
it doesn't have a mounting rail underneath like many modern pistols :sad2:

but for the longest time i could only find this bulky armalaser :ugh2:
even though reviews on it's durability, reliability and accuracy are good.

but today i came across this type of laser with equally good reviews :coold:

they both automatically turn on when your finger goes into the trigger guard
and turn off 15 seconds after you remove your finger

3rd option was meant for that too.

i know there's no really need for it,
but for so cheap i thought it'd be fun for the range or at night time :dunno:

i'm still saving up for an m1a (like 2/3rd of the way there)
then i'm converting my saiga12 before i buy anything else.

just bored and shopping for random accessories for my guns

i took you off my IL cause i thought you might make worth posts but all i saw was you wanting to put a laser on your gun, and more about your saiga.

dont make me reverse my decision.

I know a guy that has the CT on his P32. He seems to like it quite a bit.

Not a fan of lasers myself, though.

laser is the dumbest accessory you could possibly put on your pistol.

I thought about putting a CT grip on my 638, because the factory sights kinda suck. I actually don't mind the sights on my Kahrs though......

I went with the CT grips on my S&W 442.

If anyone has seen the black on black sight picture, you will understand why I went with it.

The sight picture was crap. The only other sight options required milling. And the CT grips are a quality product.

Would be very difficult to say I did it in the sense of tacticool.

the only exception to this rule I have ever heard are J-frames.

That being said, I would probably get a Crimson Trace grip laser or try and find a recoil spring guide laser.

Jframes have such a short sight radius and most of the stock sights suck

They're commonly portrayed in the movies as the be-all, end-all of accuracy. If you have a laser, it's impossible to miss, and every sniper and SWAT uses them, so you KNOW they must be good stuff. So people just starting out in guns often are led to believe they are a great thing to spend money on.

They do have their uses for training or some specific roles in LE or military applications, but they require you to learn a totally different sight picture and unless you're going to be shooting around a portable shield or designating targets, you can spend $300 and maybe become a slightly better shooter with a different sight technique or you can spend the same money and become a much better shooter with training.

While they're far from optimal. J-Frame sights can work just fine if you training with them.

Correct. At "J-frame" range, you're really only using the front sight anyway, sight radius isn't an issue.
