So my dad just took a knife to my Cat6 cable stating that he was getting pissed off at tripping over it all the time. So now I gotta get my wireless going again. Only problem is it won't pick up a strong enough signal. Can anyone help? The only other wireless thing would be portable phones dunno if they are same freq or not and if so would they **** with it?

Can someone pm and I'll give them my hotmail address so I can get this fixed as soon as possible.

    Thanks

Try 802.11g (54Mbit) and try changing the channel to something other then the default, 6 or 11 maybe?

An 802.11G router has no more usable range than an 802.11B router.

A range extender might be useful in this situation. How far away is the access point now?
