I don't have any programming experience and I'm enrolled in a VB class this quarter. The book we are using doesn't completely cover every aspect of what they are teaching. Can anyone recommned a good book ( besides VB for dummies  ), or a good website online?

I'm really trying to get a good grasp on VB, so I'm not just trying to pass the class. It's fun but fucking fustrating at times.

    flame away. :noes:

anything written by microsoft is good. suprisingly enough, they do a fantastic job of .net language explainations. do you have visual studio .net to use? ( i sure hope so)

by the way, what type of application are we talking about? serverside, client side, will it be filling fields based from a sql server? ect?

I learned vbscript (asp) by installing and modifying free scripts (plus a little googling :)). I had a huge book but never touched it...I guess that's just the way I learn though. There are a couple really good sites out there for learning this stuff. http://www.planet-source-code.com is one...also try googling visual basic tutorials.
