I want to add a 512mb stick, but I remember hearing some people complain that certain brands caused their to crash. Any recommendations?

don't go cheap, get a crucial 1 gb stick. you will regret the 512 at some moment down the line.

It all depends what's on borad. if you have a 256 on board then max you can do it 1.25 (which does great for me). If you have 512 on board then 1.5 is your max.

Wow... I've been procrastinating this like hell, but I'm ready to order now...

Wha pin # do i need and would ddr2 ram work? Looking at some of the recent prices on slickdeals, I'll order a 1gb stick

DDR2 will not work in the iBook. DDR is what you have to have...DDR PC2700 333 MHz I think...anyone correct me on this? Should be 200 pin
