My coworker needs to blindcopy e-mail around 100 people. In other words, she doesn't want them to see the e-mail they got also went to 99 other people. Is there a program that can do this, preferably free? (we're a non-profit :hsd:)

    thanks OT

so if, for example, she sends an email to herself, and BCC's 100 people, they all might think they're the only recipient, sure.

BUT the problem is it won't say in the header the e-mail was sent directly to one of those people. it'll say "From Ms. Johnson" "To Ms. Johnson" and just show up in everyone else's inboxes

-edit- apparently my co-worker's Blackberry recognizes and tells her if she's been bcc'd. It says [you've been BCC'd]

Why do you need a program to do this? Outlook or any equivalent should be able to natively.

Create a distribution list with all of their names on it, then bcc that distribution list.

Not everyone has the rights to do this; especially in corporate environments.

Getting rights is not hard if your job requires it.

That is besides the point. If this is for work, they are likely on Outlook 2003 or 2007 - which both have the ability to add a BCC field to your new compositions. If you don't know how to add the BCC field, you should not be administering a distribution list anyway.

Can you tell me how to use BCC so it doesn't show the other recipients, says each recipient in the TO field, and won't say "you've been BCC'd on a Blackberry"?

if you read the rest of the thread, you'll see why I can't use BCC
