    Hello,
Im getting a Beretta 92FS next week and wanted to get a gun safe that is reliable, yet small enough that no one would notice it. I plan on putting it on the right side of my bed(doors on the left side) between the wall and the floor so that its not noticed when you walk in the room, and so incase an attacker were to enter, I can slide off the right side and enter the safe and be ready.(I know, sounds like a movie) I want something that would be easy to operate in the dark, (preferably no keys or dials) but not TOO easy because I have a child.
Im looking at spending around $100-200
Id like to be able to store my Beretta, along with two extra mags and a box of rounds of possible. Any suggestions?

i wouldn't trust my life to a fingerprint analysis program when someone might be in my house. I'm sure the chances of a malfunction are higher than w/ a traditional lock

Thats a good safe. A lot of people have said good things about them. The problem is they seem to have been back ordered all over the net. I'd be suprised if this store actually has any in stock.

Price wise that price isn't to good either. It's just under the price thats on the manufactuer's website. Here's a link. http://www.gunvault.com/multideluxe.asp

Do a google search because I've seen other sites that had it for much less. If you do end up going with that site you found, call or email them to make sure they have it in stock so that way they don't try to pull some bullshit on you.

You could just get a trigger lock, that way you could keept it in your nightstand.

That would take too long to get off if an intruder broke in.

:werd: and besides, I wanted to store ammo, mags, and some money and papers in there as well.

Well I called that site and turns out that safe is not in stock and the CSR told me that they have no clue when they would get one and that GunVault wont return their calls, I even called GunVault and there number just keeps giving me a fast busy signal.
    :hs:
well I checked with a local gun shop and they told me that they can get it through one of their distributors and that it would be here Friday :x:
So HOPEFULLY its the real shit and not an imitation one or something

    Mossberg MS77701 Instant-Access Gun Safe - I paid about $160

The Mossberg Gun Safe is compact (9" Wide x 3" High x 14" Deep) and fits into a dresser or desk drawer. The gun safe comes complete with galvanized steel mounting plate which, when properly installed, provides you with a permanent, secure storage location for the safe. Additional mounting plates are available for continuous security virtually anywhere. It is ideal for use as an auto safe or boating safe.
    Lighted Key Pad and Interior
Opens Instantly - 4 digit personal access code entry
Taper Resistent - 9 volt battery (included) back up system
Audible alarm activates if un-authorized access is attempted

Just found it $150 on ebay

well I went to the gunshop and it turns out they couldnt get any of the GunVaults, but got these instead.

He took it out of the box, hooked it up, and I seemed to like it. The cool thing about it, is instead of a key incase of power failure, it has a battery connector by the keypad for a 9 volt battery, and you just lay the battery on top of it, then type in your code. So I was kinda impressed about that, incase someone gets a hold of the key, it also has a motion detector, interior light, padded interior and a shelf and looks actually a little taller than the GunVault Multisafe. And it was only $139
So I ended up picking it up, along with some rubber grips, and 20 rounds of Hydrashock 147 gr. to store in there. I was tempted to buy another box, since I can NEVER leave the gun store with ONE thing, but thought I did enough damage for one day :hs:
    So I got this
