...if you can only spend $15000. So if you currently had $15000 to spend on a car what would you go with?

    $15'000, thats about £8'000.

Which is enough to buy my Polo GTi and a decent set of coliovers. So I'd be sticking with what I've got :big grin:

Guess that aint much help to ya though, sorry.

best car for that price is a low mileage e36 m3.. i would maybe a find a very low mileage '95 or a higher mileage '97. brilliant all-around car that will put to shame a lot of today's so-called "sports" cars.

    ^^^ I hope you're not serious.

The thread creator asked for "dream car", not winter beater / daily driver.

    E36 m3.
Though I would be willing to settle for a 328i/5 as well. You can get a 328i with decent mileage for around 8k-10k in PERFECT condition.

since everything you buy will be out of warrany, might as well go with the e36 M3.

I'd just pimp out what I have now, and dump $15k in to putting a 1.8T motor in it, plus repainting the whole thing.. That's $15k easily spent.
