need some mac help

    how do i share a folder on my network and how do i put pictures back onto a camera once i've taken them from the camera to my powerbook??

    go to sys. pref and go to sharing. It is under there.

    Second question is just connect the camera back up and drag the pictures to the drive on the desktop.

    for some reason the camera wont show up as something mounted or anything...just loads up iphoto and all i can do is import

    open up a window in finder. You should see the camera on the left side below your HD.

    if it isn't mounting it, check your Finder preferences and see if it is set to display Removable devices. I've removed the ability for iPhoto to open when I connect a camera.

    I personally recommend to everyone that they not connect their cameras directly to their computers - PC or Mac.

    I suggest getting a flash card reader or a PCMCIA adapter and just mounting the media directly. If you don't use rechargable batteries in your camera it saves those and since both OSs just see them as drives, it makes things much easier to manage (plus you don't get burdened with those annoying camera proggies that most require for Winders).

    i think image capture will do it as well... not to sure.
