  1. I have never really worked out seriously but am looking to get into better shape for numerous reasons ( i.e. self-esteem, sports, etc.) I am 5'7" and about 150 lbs. I don't mind the weight im at, but i'd like to firm up and get stronger while losing some of the fat I have gained in my mid-section and face. I have no hopes of getting huge. I just hate getting winded before everyone else and being embarassed to take off my shirt in public. Any help would be appreciated.

getting strong and losing fat at the same time is like an oxymoron. you need to chose one, personally i think you should really focus on putting on mass then later down the road cutting excess fat, at 150lbs you should not worry about fat. and just EAT EAT EAT.
and for the routine, if you a friend that you could follow around to learn proper form that would be exellent. ill let someone else suggest a routine.
