Wrong forum, but check out the Tikka T3 Varmint .308

priced cheaper than that, check out Savage Arms.

.308 is good b/c you can buy mil-surplus
5.56/.223 is also a good choice and even cheaper,

:werd: savage110 series and some other savages would be good buy too can usually find them pretty cheap, and they can perform just as well as the more expensive rifles.

Id say maybe a Remington 700. Not the cheapest but definately not the most expesive. Unrivaled out of the box accuracy. Are listed on Remingtons website for ~$650 but can get one from Walmart for $420

I wouldn't use surplus rounds in a bolt action. If it was a surplus rifle I'm alright with that.

I think the 700 SPS is like around $395?:dunno:

They let me look at that catalog they have behind the counter and the price in there is $418.

They do however lower the price on them sometimes, but its up to the store, and its something thats already in the case.
If you order one from the book they will charge you whats in the book.

I saw one for about $370 a week ago, but it was in .243, and I want .30 b.c I can never get big enough bullets
