we have three computers on our network. my desktop, wired to the router, my laptop, using a wireless connection, and another desktop, using a wireless connection.

my desktop is working fine, as is my laptop.

the other desktop, all of a sudden, the internet stops working. another weird thing is that it automatically switched from teh windows XP theme to the "classic" theme, and all other themes have disappeared from the list.

i checked out the "network connections" and it's now empty, as os "my network places." it won't let me bring up the "system" in control panel, andi t won't let me set up a new network (the network window just won't come up).

    what's going on?

tried rebooting, the only thing it solved was that i was able to get into the device manager, and there is NO HARDWARE listed. does this help determine the problem?

you've got some definite bad mojo going on there.
