First, I've got one of these sitting in my basement (machine, not the black guy):

I'm 5'11'' 190 pounds (very little muscle) during the winter, and usually do only cardio when summer rolls around. Usually I drop to ~160 during summer. This cycle is fucking pointless, and I'm a weak bitch.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out some kind of routine with that machine. I know it's not as good as free weights, but its better than nothing. I really don't feel like embarassing myself at a gym yet. :o

I understand the diet aspect of getting healthy/bulking/cutting. Just need some help when it comes to routine. I'm trying to find a list of possible lifts you can do with it right now... Main thing I'm looking for is an increase in strength and size.

    Any help? :hsd:

Most people will tell you to man up and go to the gym.

But if you want to go with the machine, just do a full body routine 3 days a week along with supplemental cardio.

I figured that would be the case. If I log some kind of increase in strength/good form with the machine, I will probably end up at a gym eventually

your gains will be minimal with that thing... especially because you've already said its just been sitting around. The best thing you can do is check your ego and get to a real gym. you will quickly realize you won't be embarassing yourself and no one really cares about what you are doing there. I guess a full body routine is all you can do on it,

I can't even really give you a good routine to follow on that machine... i've seen some decent all-in-one units, but that one looks pretty shitty.

most important thing is to not have an ego when lifting, i think. this makes you always work harder and harder. seriously, don't be ashamed, once you get strong you'll see how silly you were before & the time you wasted not doing the best training possible

hmm... Thats a possibility. What other lifts could you do other than squats with a bench and power rack?

Go to the gym - you'll see all sorts of idiots doing rediculous lifts with horrible form and quickly realize that they don't care about you nor what you're doing. Or you can try to be odd and do squats on national chest/bicep day and get all sorts of wierd looks :)

for starters bench on the bench! Military press, deadlifts, rack pulls in the power rack.

i bench in the rack ( safety)..rack pull, squat, shrugs, shoulder press, lunge, etc..pretty much any movement that requires the bar to be at a set height, or anything you can drop the bb on and kill yourself:hsugh:
