I've got a comma delmited file with 326,675 rows. The date is in an odd format YYYY_MM and I need to convert it into a date format recognized by SQL server. What is the easiest way to do this??

I would just import it as a string, and then create a data field from the string. You can do it in access or SQL - Excel can't see more than 64k of rows.

if you have excel 2007 it will handle the file.
    new row/column limits ftw

if this is a one time thing then excel would be fine, if you will be adding records over time look at the reply above mine :)

Man I wish they didn't change that - people have got to stop using Excel as a database program!
