So a co-worker is selling a Springfield XD 9mm with 3 16 round clips, and a few other accessories (I'm guess what most likely came from the factory - they all fit in the foam padded carrying case for the gun - holster, cleaning brush, barrel lock, I could be forgetting something). He has the original purchase recipt, the gun looks flawless, and he claim to have only shot about 100 rounds through it. Does this sound like a deal I should jump on?

Admittedly, I've never owned a firearm, but have considered picking up a gun in the future (as well as a conceal / carry permit). I've shot a few and was debating between an XD or Sig Sauer P229. I've been on the fence between 9mm and .40 - but was leaning towards a .40. This deal sounds pretty decent to me though, so I may "pull the trigger", so to speak. You guys are the experts though, what are your thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

Sold my XD9 with 10,000+ rounds through it to a friend/coworker for $350. Included case and 5 mags. That was a "friend" price so a little more might be acceptable.

Decent price. They sell for about $500 new.

I'll also add that it fired every one of those 10,000 rounds without an issue. As long as it has had at least rudimentary upkeep it should be a decent firearm.

idleprocess managed to stovepipe it once or twice when he was a newb. But it still had 10,000 flawless shots after easily.

Tell him not to sell you clips though they won't work. Tell him you need mags instead. ;)

just for comparison, theyre 439 shipped new on buds, plus whatever your ffl charge for transfer, so youre saving bout 90-100 bucks, if he really only have shot 100 rds through it then its still pretty new
