im running a mid level system at the moment, planning to be running a lowside high level system by the end of the year when i upgrade to athlon 64, et cetera. im currently running the generic (300w?) ps that came with the case.

im looking for something reliable, steady, and silent. suggestions?

Antec Phantom 350W. 0dBa. No fans, 100% silent.

    Thermaltake 350W fanless. 0dBa. 100% silent.

    SilenX 400W Luxurae fanless. 0dBa. 100% silent.

If you need a little more and don't mind a *VERY* quiet fan, Antec Neo480 is a good choice. ATX12v v2.0, Active PFC.

ive not heard anything pro or con fanless ps. ive got 6 80mm fans running in my case at the moment w/ proc fan, so i doubt cooling will be too much of an issue. any experience? and no, i dont mind a bit of noise. i just dont want an aircraft hanger in my room like it is at the moment. ill also be replacing/disabling fans too. the lights and mods thing kinda wore off and i just want dark and quiet now. :p

    Hah.
That coming from a guy posting silverstone PSUs.

    SilenX are good.
Antec make brilliant gear in the Trupower 550/Neo480/Phantom 350.

Your point only fits the TT. I was suggeting options..

I don't have much against silverstone.. but to put them above Antec and SilenX is nonsense.
For my quiet PC I use an Antec Neo480. If I needed more power I would use the low-noise version of the TruPower 550.

I agree with jollyogre. I definately wouldn't SilenX or Antec over it.
