My fave bands are Finch, Trust Company and The Used. Anyone know any other good bands like them? I just need some new shit to jam out too. Finch will be in concert by me on the 26th Cant Wait

Ive only heard blips of those those bands, but ill list some stuff you might like... or have already heard of:

    cursive
    these arms are snakes
    no knife
    on the might of princes
    salem
    sparta
    saosin
    small brown bike
    hot water music
    sunny day real estate
    the blood brothers
    at the drive in
    boy sets fire
    braid
    botch
    cave in (the album "jupiter")
    engine down
    dismemberment plan
    get up kids
    jawbreaker

pretty standard stuff, youve probably heard most of it... but definitely better than Finch, Trust Company, Used. These might be a little more "emo", and a little less "rock" than what you like though

god I hate the word emo

Aside from those previously mentioned you might want to have a go with:

    Count The Stars
    Student Rick
    Counterfit
    Gatsby's American Dream
    On The Might of Princes
    Taking Back Sunday
    Moneen
    Texas Is The Reason
    Time To Fly
    Pete Yorn
    Long Since Forgotten

  9. Rise Against
    Strike Anywhere
    Hot Water Music
    Planes Mistaken For Stars
    Burning Airlines
    Paperchase
    My Chemical Romance
    Matchbook Romance
    Alkaline Trio
    Thrice
    Deville
    Dynamite Boy
    Juliana Theory
    Strung Out
Boy Sets Fire (a little harder)
    Grade (more screaming)
    Brand New
    Homegrown
    Mest

  10. Just for the record, I would not consider any of the bands I just named above to be emo/rock or whatever with the possible exception of Burning Airlines. Most of them are punk, punk/hardcore, softcore, or whatever you want to call it. I don't believe in the term "emo" but I figured I'd name those bands because they seem to fit into the style that people started calling "emo" for some reason even though they aren't.

Oh yeah LOTS OF SCREAMING. Though I love the 'Head First Into Hell' cd (I haven't heard the newer band of theirs 'Somehow Hollow' yet). Too bad they aren't together. Not many Victory Records bands make it in the longrun. =/ Just like 'Studen Rick'.

I think you need to listen to Funeral For A Friend if you like Finch, The Used, and Trust Company. Start out with the songs Juneau, Rookie Of The Year, and Bullet Theory
