Whats the site about? Depending on what it is you can play around a little with the UU. i.e. add quirky eye balls if its a social/entertainment site

It will actually be a pirating website :o

but i'd rather not have objects in my logo, I just want it to be font based, and if anything be extremely subtle like the arrow in the fedex logo

    looks OK
    does it matter?
how many people are looking at logo vs usability
pick the one that will get and keep you more visitors

Just something I threw together real quick. The concept being that the U's make an eye and an eye-patch and the second the eye-patch is the second u and the o is the eye. If you like the concept, obviously, you'd need a decent bit of tweaking done.

Then they'd look like a butt or a set of titsticles.

the kurning (space between letters) in the original is making it look weird. My suggestion would be to bring in the K and O together more to make the logo unified through proximity.

    just my 2 cents

    Edit.
is that logo vector? it looks pixilated but that could be because of the JPEG format for web posting. Using a program such as Illustrator would create vector art (scalable) and would have an overall cleaner look
