the tranny on my fiero is completely busted, and am considering switching frames for my LS1 swap (I got the fiero as-is for $150 so no big loss). what I want is light weight, and I have a friend who's an experienced restorer who can help me out with almost any custom fabrication I'd need. I want something light weight. playing with the idea of big horse power in a tiny car here some ideas I've had are:

Honda CRX (T56 and rear end from a TA)
Fox body swap (T56 and 5.0 Rear)
dodge daytona (similar job as the CRX)

I had thought of a fesiva or geo, but after looking at the engine bay I decided that adding about 12" onto the car was not going to be worth my time or money. any other ideas for a body to put my engine in?

haven't seen one in the junkyards. I really don't want to pay much more than $800 for the frame.

a late 80s early 90s Nova, or Corola would be new. They were the same car, and they were also RWD I believe.
