Need Hip Flexibility

    Can someone reccomend an excercise to increase hip flexibilty, like stretching or what have you to help with squats?

    Side lunges maybe? I used to think my hips were tight, I started stretching my ass/hamstring and it's gotten a little better. Try some basic leg stretches for awhile, make sure to get your quads and sartorius too. Oh, www.google.com.

    stand sideways to a wall or pole, leg up, foot flat onto the wall. lean into the wall, bending your leg while doing so. keep the knee up, youll feel the hip stretching.

    easier - lay down, cross one leg over the other, fully extended, at about 45degrees, as far out as you can. youll twist the body a bit, thas ok.

    not really.. that will develop the muscle, not help it stretch, if anytnhing, the opposite.

    shit, just squat down waay low, thatll help.

    I definitely squat at random times of the day trying to increase/get more comfortable in the stance. I was just wondering if anyone had any streches/ muscle flex's like the one by Leo95SE posted (thanks).

    if you just do high reps for one set with a low weight it should help it stretch since it'd be more of an endurance exercise :dunno:

    ya but you dont need weight for the movement, you want to sit in it and stay there, wide legged. your bodyweight should be enough to loosen the hips. :)
