My roommmate plays his music too loud at night while I'm trying to sleep.
He gets stoned and "forgets" and all that shit.

I know I can "hide" the audio icon in the taskbar, but how can I remove it from the control panel so he can't just go in and put it back?

My point here is to basically limit the volume that my computer speakers can be turned up to. So even with Winamp turned up all the way, it's still not that loud.

    Thx :x:

buy him a set of headphones, and shove the speakers up his ass?

kill the sndvol32.exe file located in C:/Windows/system32 might be an option. I haven't verified it, but it might be a jump off point for more research.
