I just bought a lite-on SOHW-812S. It hasn't arrived at my house yet, but I was wondering what kind of blank dvd's I should get. I have one of those Apex DVD players. Thanks!

My older apex reads both +r and -r while the new apex in my bedroom reads +r, +rw, -r and -rw. Personally I usually go with whichever is cheapest.

I usually just buy the generic ones in bulk from pricewatch.com, they've worked in everything I've ever put them in. As for whether you should get + or -, check your dvd player manual. Almost everything out there nowadays will read -.

APEX should play anything you can throw at it. Check here for extensive lists of media that will work with your burner though.
