WEB Need help with making a website

    I already have the site but ive never actually got it onto the web ..i need to know what steps that i may need to take ..for example ..hosting ..when i pay for hosting do i upload my content to their server?if i need to make change can i just do it from my pc and then replace the other one or can i sync it.the site i made is not too fancy its just a advertisement page for a law firm here in houston. any help is gladly appreciated.

    Yea, once you have your host you'll have to upload the site files to a "www" or "public_html" folder depending on the host.

    I like to use an ftp client that has an editor so I can edit files right from the server. Keeps me from having to upload all the time

    if it's just a small site like you said I'd grab host=gaors $4.95/month setup. should be more than enough for you. at least for a while

    I use emftp to connect and emeditor to do the editing

    yes as long as what you want isn't already registered.

    For a domain go to godaddy.com or namecheap.com
    Godaddy is running some good deals right now

    Didn't read much, but do you have an IDE? You'll need something like Visual Studio Express, etc.

    google "visual studio web developer"

    I think thats the name of it. Its the free version of Visual Studio. Great editor, with full code validation, etc.
