I installed CHDK on my camera to extend the minimum shutter from 15 to 65(or whatever it is you can do with CHDK) and it still says 15. How can I fix this? I know I installed right because I got the Blue firmware screen thing.

Have to go into the CHDK menu (on the A630, I press the print button, then the menu button). At the top, select "Extra Photo Operations" then select "Override Shutter Speed" and set the "Value Factor" to something besides "Off". For 65, I think just set the first option to 65 and the 2nd to 1.

In the past, I have found whatever you set in CHDK may not appear in the EXIF data. Or maybe it is by now, I'm not too sure (I haven't used the A630 for a while now).

Depending on where the programmer put the shutter speed display on your LCD it may be covered up by other things. My S2IS has exp time and TV on the same lines so I only see exp time sometimes when it blinks due to screen redraw.
