What are people's opinions on Radway Green 63gr SS109 ammo? How accurate is it, and is it a good choice of ammo if I want to reload it....

Or should I get some Winchester loaded 55gr .223 instead?

thanks for the help :big grin:

Actually, one more question. What do you guy recomend I do re: Brass catchers? Should I get one of the hard plastic ones, or one of the mesh ones? Or should I just pickup my brass from the ground?

I bought a 720 round case of it in september. Sadly enough I havent even gotten to it yet. Only 60 rounds through my AR so far, and all of it fmj Remington

From what I've read, they're underloaded so they're not as "hot" as NATO-pressure cartridges. I'd put them on par with XM855PD; check each round before loading your mags and blast away.

I shot some q3131, m855 and m193 last weekend. The difference in the q3131 is quite different. It seemed to be more hot suprisingly. It was the wwb 5.56 q3131, ihi m855 and s&b m193

My AR's all love the Radway. The Brits used to download if because it was beating up their IW's, but most of the stuff coming in now is at correct pressures.

that radaway green is complete shit. i bought a 720rd case of it and every fucking round failed to eject because they werent loaded enough. i shot 70 rounds, and got pissed and sold the case to someone else.

I've never had a problem with Radway. :dunno:
I bought 180 rounds of it a month back and burned it all in one day.

it was stamped with a 92 date... so it was fairly 'new' i had to pull the bolt back every stinkin shot. i told the guy at the range, and he popped in some range grade ammo and it fired every shot... definately an ammo problem.

I had some radway battlepacks and suffered similar problems as vette, some rounds did cycle but many did not. I've been told its underloaded cause there POS SA80 cannt take full NATO loads reliably
