So I'm trying to hit between 2200-2600 calories a day.

But ever since I went healthy, I'm missing that mark by 600-1000 calories a day.

Anyone know what are great suggestions to hit that calorie mark, but still be a healthy item?

Make a protein shake with milk and add peanut butter and oats. I think that comes out to around 600 cals or so.

    Milk? MILK???

I understand that your supps have not come in yet but never EVER, EVER include milk in your diet. Man I'm pissed off now. Instead get some eggs, cold meat or something but NOT MILK. F**K.

The only things you can drink are water, green tea, tea, some coffee and small amounts of Crystal Light.

i don't get how hitting 2600 is that difficult. A filling bowl of oatmeal is about 600 calories, 2 cups dry.

its a decent meal, i can toss it back. As long as you don't eat it before a workout then no problems. push it up to 3 cups dry and i have trouble finishing it. I've never been told my problem is not eating enough, lol.

2 cups is over 100g of carbs. If someone's going to eat that many carbs they might as well have something tasty.

poptarts and pepsi is the perfect high-carb meal.

but thats mad fiber son. Plus, eating clean you can't get your carb calories from a mountain dew and donut.

If you are eating "clean" then one would assume you're trying to minimize bodyfat, so why would you eat 100g of carbs in one meal?

If I want fiber I can eat 1/3c of Bran Buds and get as much fiber as 2 cups of oatmeal.

Even getting 1-1.5g protein per pound of my bodyweight (210g-300g) I still have a shitload of cals to make up in order to make it to 4,000... When I stay strict with clean eating I add PB to my whey shakes, have some extra carbs in the morning and extra fats at night (extra olive oil on my fish, PB on celery, etc).

If you eat eggs don't throw out the yolk, eat whole eggs. etc.

I don't know if it's best for building lean mass but if you want to gain weight with clean food that's the type of shit you'll wanna do. Other than that just keep eating as much as you can handle and you'll get used to it. I used to feel totally satisfied on 2200 cals a few years ago these days I eat that much before the day is half over pretty frequently.

also learn to make your food more interesting. I think I can eat twice the amount of tuna or eggs if I throw some chopped onions or chives into them, etc. Get some good seasoning stuff and herbs and your appetite will increase substantially.

it was systematically pumped into my head that in order to lose weight to stop eating so much. so I did. Now that I am hitting the gym harder than I every have and being more active, people are telling me to eat more. Its really hard for me to eat when it was told to me for so long to stop.

but my inner fat ass is coming back out at times, so I can om nom nom pretty good, and clean now.

Its because I am watching what I am eating, so I kind of had to start from the ground up, I never really knew how much crap I was stuffing in my face.

I asked a similar question the other day. I ended up going with "Serious Mass" powder. I have half the recommended dose, but twice per day [total calories 1250, total protein 50g]. So far I haven't noticed any greater amount of energy but I guess I don't feel "flat" all day.
