Our college has said, that it will not allow our rifle club to meet outside of school at a range where live fire takes place, or where firearms (loaded or unloaded) are around. I think this really sucks, and shouldnt happen especially off campus.

Even if we sign waviers, the school will not allow it saying it is too much of a liability (there are baseball, football, and other clubs where injuries have happened off the campus).

Now, what i need are some good REPUTABLE sites to get info. I mainly need to get stats on how many injuries occur at ranges each year, how many injuries occur at shooting sports events.

We plan on writing a well written letter to the student activities director to at least TRY to get things changed.

Thanks to all that can help.

Just go to the fucking range and happen to show up at the same time. Are you trying to get your school to pay for your range trips or something? I don't see how they can tell you that you can't meet at a range and shoot on your own time. For fucks sake just ditch the club idea and do this stuff on your own time if they're going to give you that much trouble.,

My school has a skeet club, I don't think you'd call Kettering University a well known school, though. :dunno:

Not a whole lot of info, but it's there... :hs:

Start a second, private shooting club. If everyone just happens to join both what the hell can they do?

OR just tell them to go fuck themselves and do what the fuck you want off campus.

well yea of course. We were trying to talk to local ranges to get discounts. Its nice to know people at my school that are into rifles, so the club is a good idea, its just we will have NON-club meetings at the range. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any sites, but ill start with those colleges.

    thanks.
