Considering the Kimber Pro Carry II or the Springfield Loaded Champion (both in stainless)

Shot the Kimber this past weekend, and fell in love. From what I can tell, they have similar specs and are around the same price range, so which would you choose?

I have 2 kimbers, fullsize TLE/RLII with 4500 plus rounds and no ftfs or ftes.

I was so happy with it I went and bought a Ultra CDPII for daily carry. i've only shot the CDPII a few times but its flawless as well.

So my vote is for the Kimber because I know mine are great.

Whoring pics to help you decide.

    glock crew:

glocks are so cheap, most people own them, and when new purchase decisions come up, they are subsequently ruled out of the "Rankings"

i.e, I have glock that stays in my car, one that stays in my kitchen, one that stays in my motorcycle jacket, one that stays in range bag....

when I goto decide on a new gun, I do not say, gee, should I get a GLOCK or a wilson combat

    :hsugh:

edit: this deserves its own thread

Both will serve you well.. I have an Ultra Carry II now, and had a Springfield Champ in the past.. I liek them both equally

Just break them in as any carry gun needs to have a few hundered rounds through it to be at its peak...

Kimber's quality control over the last few years has been pretty poor, it's really hit or miss if your gun will be ok or a complete shitbox. Springfields customer service is FAR superior to Kimber, so based on that I'd go with the Springer.

The Loaded models are worth their $400 premium over the GI, both in looks and features, imo.

Only gripe I have against the Kimber is that it spits in the casings in my face and forehead. Although, I'm not so sure if it's a design thing that goes across the board, or is just limited to that make and model.
