so ive been doing a three day split, and can feel myself becoming stronger and having more power to do those last reps, but i feel as if im not in the gym as much. i go

    monday chest bis
    wednesday shoulders legs
    friday back tris

i usually get 4-5 exercises per muscle (4 chest 4 bi) and feel great after the gym, but it seems as if theres too much wasted time. i am doing cardio 3 days a week at least. usually 4-5. anyone have any suggestions?

also i checked the routine section in the archives yet it only seemed it was either 3 days or 6 days. i tried the upper lower but i didnt really know how to feel about it (as in, i didnt see as much of a gain).

are you trying to cut? or bulk or what?

3 days should be fine for weight gain if you eat well...but then again, your also running 3 times a week?

    what are your goals?

I agree, it seems like your chasing two goals at the same time. You have to be able to gain a little weight to bulk, with all that cardio you are burning all of your carbs, making your protein more of an energy source instead of a recovery source... then again, it can be done with a very strict diet and schedule.

If you're doing a 3 day routine id do something like HST. if you're worried about staying in shape do some sort of conditioning work on a couple of the other days like complex circuits, sled dragging, etc. youll be jacked
