Need/want to put a 2006 RAM 2500 CD head unit in my 2000 Dodge RAM 2500 (Work Truck). Because this is a company vehicle, I can't cut/modify the harness in it. IS there any way I can get a harness that plugs into the pins on the 2006 head unit? I already know where I can get the harness to plug into the stock harness on the truck, but I need something that plugs into the new head unit so I can splicethe 2.

Only doing it this way because I'm not supposed to be changing in the first place and an actual Dodge head unit is more stealthy than a Sony/Pioneer/etc.

    Thanks.

The only thing I can think of is calling Dodge and saying you need the wiring harness that goes to the factory head unit. But, I bet it will be expensive and will have a bunch of unnecessary extra connectors and cable.

go to a bestbuy and buy the forward and reverse harness, they'll know what you're talking about. should run you about 40 bucks.

Thanks - I'm going to go hit bestbuy today. I was told by some tool at a tech line for Schoshe's competitors that it required a digital signal from the vehicle's computer and would not work in a vehicle without that signal. I'm going to pick up the harnesses you suggested and give it a shot.
