I have to say, this is the best racing game ever.

No, it's not a sim. You don't drive it like a sim. Before I get started though let me point out this.

Remember in GT3 and GT4 you got so awesome at those "sims" that you could just do ludicrous speed through everything?

Think of this game as already knowing you know how to control a car like that. This game simply tries to predict what you're doing by your motions. It knows what you think the car should do when you push your controller in different directions and slam the e-brake and shit.

When you start out you're in pretty slow cars, no problem. You get better and you learn to dodge shit and stay in front. It's like a practice run until you get the next tier of cars available. Each tier is that way. I didn't think there could possibly be anything faster than the viper. It's maxed out, but has the same exact bars as my ford gt in power/acceleration/etc.

However, if you don't have the driver skill to drive the ford gt the game makes it appear to be insanely uncrontrollable, you're doing 150+ long before the viper would even be at 100mph. That kind of stuff.

When you get good enough, you can drive the higher ranked cars more easily. I have a lambo 670 and the ford gt, but the gt is way way way faster, it's barely controllable because its speed. However, to dominate some of the races I need that extra speed.

All in all, what this game is, is an adrenaline rush. The soundtrack is great and the racing is blistering fast. This game is awesome.

I love the iPhone version. It's funny because it got great reviews for the iPhone and bad reviews for everything else. I've been wanting to play it though. I think I'll pick it up now after reading this. I don't need a sim, there are other games for that. As long as it's fun, I'm happy.

    I enjoyed it. :dunno:

OT hated on it for a long time, so I waited until I could get it on sale. Enjoyed myself for the most part. Some races were frustrating, but I finished it.

i use a q6600 / 4gb ram / 9800gt, nothing overclocked and game runs fine w/ all settings maxed too :wiggle:

I do get a dropped frame here and there, and I'm probably not getting over 35fps, but it looks blocky and chippy if I cut the resolution anymore, using AA slows it down too much :wtc:

Easier to get into I thought.

Played it quite a lot when I got it, the highway battles were pretty damn good.

Was pretty easy to begin but got a bit pissed off when you started getting into the much more expensive cars and you would complete a race with minimal heat and they would still send the entire fucking army after you and you lose your cunting car

But other that it's pretty good, oh fuck the microtransaction bullshit though.
