I realized there hasn't been any new post in this category. I hope people still look at this.

So I'm moving to my new house in about 2 weeks and I need to get a TV for the living room and great sound systems.

I don't really know anything about good TVs/sound systems. I'm just looking for a TV that's about 40~50inch and a good sound system(speakers/subs) that matches the TV.

Anyone has any recommandation on any TVs/sound systems? Or is there any website that has reviews of them? If so, can you give me the website please.

    Thanks

What's your planned budget? You can do pretty good for audio under $2000 and about $2000 for a TV.

Trying to do it cheaper? Start with receiver and right/left front speakers, next step get center channel and sub, then finally get surrounds. That's how I did it...just spaced it out over a year.

If your are going for a full theater then I agree with CrazyInteg. If it's a system for the living room a "right out of the box" sound system should work fine. It has the receiver/DVD and 5 speakers and a sub. They don't rattle the walls but have decent quality sound. They range form $400 to a couple grand. The more $$ the better sound. Plus the speakers aren't huge (if going theater get huge ass speakers). A DLP projection TV is a good start for the screen. Plasma and LCD are better but costly and eventually the screen fades. Make sure it's DLP and not regular projection. They suck!

Three negative posts in a row, and not one counterpoint.

And without a budget from threadstarter, anybodys guess could be off.
