MMA Need Diet Advice rd.3

    So I want to get a little more protein in my diet and bought a ton of those little protein shake box drinks. Not sure when in my day I should be taking them.

    Daily Diet:
    Oatmeal 8am
    yogurt - 10am
    Chicken and broccoli - 1pm
    crackers - 2pm
    little bit of chicken or tuna salad - 4pm
    Dinner sometime after 7pm



    Monday:
    noon - Run 2 miles, stretch, push ups and sit ups, maybe a little more cardio
    6pm - MT class, not too tough of conditioning, mostly just really light pad work and drills.

    Tuesday:
    6:30am - Sparring and thai pads for an hour
    noon - Run 2 miles, stretch, push ups and sit ups, maybe a little more cardio

    Wednesday:
    noon - Run 2 miles, stretch, push ups and sit ups, maybe a little more cardio
    5pm - Run a mile and a half, heavy bag, row machine, etc

    Thursday:
    6:30am - Sparring and thai pads for an hour
    6pm - MT class, intensive conditioning, no pads, mostly drills riddled with pushups and jump squat breaks

    I always just drink it right after working out.

    But I don't have any reason why.

    i just wrapped a bunch of hotdogs with cheese, onions, and mushrooms with egg roll wraps and deep fried them....i don't belong in this thread:hs:

    thats what they recommend in the directions. i do that too. or before.

    i drink a protein shake with breakfast too. helps keep me full during the morning

    Drink the protein with the yogurt and crackers.

    Maddy drinks my protein shake while your working out.
     
  8. yeah right after working out is good. just make sure to space out the protein so you don't get ridiculous shits.

    more than 40-50g at a time doesn't really get absorbed

    I didnt think about that. so I should probably take the protein around 10am and then eat the yogurt later in the day.

    Ugh..ok

    I try to eat my lean body mass a day = to grams of Protein.

    So i assume I have about 150lbs lean mass so I try to eat 150g of trotein spread out over 5-6 meals a day.
    For me:
    wake up, shit, drink a muscle milk shake ~ 30-40g
    9am protein bar or 4-5 hard boiled eggs, no yoke
    workout at noon then as soon as I am done a muscle milk light ~ 25-30g
    2:30 beef jerky or some protein type food.
    Dinner is a well balanced meal usually a chicken or fish, rice or other clean carb, lots o veggies.
    9pm cottage cheese and fruit.

    I try to eat less then 2000 cals a day.
