how about properly resize the product images so they aren't squished in one dimension (most of your images are rectangles that you display as a square)

maybe make the whitespace on the left/right not be white

reduce the whitespace between the logo and the top black navbar - even make the navbar shorter by putting the search inline with the options

also when you click on an image to get to the product info, im not a big fan of the table borders. try doing something with different colors to make the td's distinguish from one another instead of having a default table border. (kind of like you did with the nav section on the left, just to tie the whole site together)

    - header image is waaaaay to big.
    - you could put the links in the black bar on the same line as the search
    - you could even put that on the same container as the logo and save even more vertical space
    - too much whitespace between black bar and content below it
    - category title images (http://www.opticaltactics.com/IMAGES/header/multi_purpose_system.jpg) are too hard to read and make the site not look as professional
    - on the product page you could work on better styling of the layout and get rid of that ugly table

    just my opinion though
