    What's a good model of 5.25" speaker for <$100/pair?
It's for a Cherokee, 1 pair in the front doors, 1 pair in the rear roof. Basic aftermarket Sony deck, no amp. Listen to rock & metal mostly. Don't need huge bass.

I think they're the stock ones right now.
I used to have an 85 Cherokee that put Infinity Reference's into. That sounded pretty good.

is this to replace the stock speakers?
what else have you upgraded in your system?

    generally, i would recomend
    getting an aftermarket headunit first
then amps, then speakers then sub system

ive used infinity reference before, they are very decent speakers for the money, the kappas are a bit better though, cant go wrong with either, ebay has them really cheap.

Unless the current speakers are damaged, you will get better results from getting a an amp for the current fronts, and removing/fading out the rears.

    depends

generally if the vehicle has a decent stock CD player thne the HU is the very last thing i'd spend money on. Being that this is an 85 i doubt that is the case. :o
