I work in IT and it sucks having to come back to my desk to get a piece of paper with IP addresses or configuration data or whatever I may need. I HATE using the Notes app since it sucks. It the iPhone had an accessible file system it would be easy to keep files with the data I need, but it doesn't.

Any app recommentations that do something like this?

DiskAid to load the files onto your iPhone. FileAid to read said files.

Both are free. FileAid has a pay version that does more I guess.

I use it to keep a map of the subways, my cars owners manual and the manual to my digital camera on there.

I'm not going to jailbreak. And I don't want to use an app that I need to have an app on another computer. Just want something that will help me organize information somehow.

If you have mobile me, one disk is great, it allows you access to your 10 gig online storage... Pictures, documents, what ever you have on the server

How do you expect to get the shit from your computer to your phone then read it? The 2 things I recommended will do exactly what you're looking for. :ugh:

Create a smart folder that pulls the tagged files you want to keep your phone and then use that to keep your phone synced.
