3 medics here are looking to start taking more Tactial/SWAT medic courses -- all of which are requiring us to have our own sidearm and buy equipment to train.

Close quarters training is usually done with those plastic BB guns. I think the last class we used some el cheapos we found from Walmart (see-through guns). Some of the other law enforcement officers had orange tipped electric bbs guns that were true semi-auto.

I've been looking through the airsoft sites, and I have no idea were to start.

    Ideas or suggestions?

Affordableairsoft.com is a decent place. Their shipping is only decent if you buy 2 or more guns though, as they have a flat rate for shipping and then add on a little more per gun.

What kind of guns were you looking for? M4? M16?
Whats your price range? I may be able to help you find a good deal on there

Ah I'd love to find semi-auto compact side arm first off. Me and the guys thought bout buying a long arm maybe like an M16 or an AR15 type to play around with.

Prices do vary, but I'd like to keep the price of a sidearm to under $100

I bought a '9mm' gas powered gun for $50 at a shop not including the gas. Holds about 15 bbs. Shoots fairly well. Action slides back to cock, but doesnt kick back when fired.

    This is what I have ------>>>>> http://www.affordableairsoft.com/product_p/a2-ug161b.htm
They have it on affordableairsoft for $40. Remember to get green gas. And NEVER use .12g bbs in a gas gun.
    ~240 fps

This is an m16 type gune that has a tactical stock:
    http://www.affordableairsoft.com/WELL_R_6_Airsoft_Electric_Gun_p/a7-r6.htm
Its battery powered. and is semi/auto
This is supposedly a new breed of airsoft gun. They say its the reliability and power of an expensive one with a low price tag
If I had the extra money Id definately think about getting one
    The speed is ~250-300 fps
    Its about $100

And if you dont care about it looking like an actual gun, then this isnt a bad buy either:
    http://www.affordableairsoft.com/UHC_AUG_Mini_Electric_Airsoft_Gun_p/a2-um606.htm

Its called an mini electric. Its a very shortened version of a steyr aug
Its only automatic, and it costs about $27
Holds ~150-170 rounds in the hopper and shoots ~115 fps
