That will give it to you. That is a 305HP I believe, DOHC 4.6L V8. The engine sings to 7000 or so RPM, and you feel great power above 4000 RPM. Depending on what car you're coming from, you may or may not notice any great handling. The brakes on the Cobras are very good, and the reliablity seems to be okay.

Don't expect ground pounding performance that you'd get out of its rival the 98 - 02 Camaro/Firebird. This car runs mid to high 14s in the 1/4 mile. It does sound DAMNED aggressive with a set of flow masters on.

The shifter position is pure shit for that car. Any aggressive gear change from 2nd to 3rd, is going to cause your knuckles to get rapped off the stereo.

If you like the car on a few drives then buy it.

There are also many loyal clubs around that you'll enjoy as part of ownership.

i dont know where you getting you 1/4 mile times but my stock GT ran 14.3 with 260hp so a cobra with 305hp is going to be a bit faster than mid 14's.

01 Cobra = low 14's if you can't drive. I've seen plenty of 100% stock 99/01 Cobras go 13.99 or lower.

I love the seats they have in that car. You can get into the 13's easily with a few mods.
