My fiance and I are getting married in September and we don't really have "a song". I've been trying to find meaningful, romantic songs and he thinks they all suck. He's into tons of different kinds of music, but when it comes to sappy love songs, he can't stand them. Any suggestions?? :x:

We had trouble finding a song too. Eventually we came up with "I Shall Believe" by Sheryl Crow. There's a few U2 songs that would work too. Maybe "All I Want is You"

    Good luck.

eeek... thought i had a bunch of great suggestions then realized that all the sweet songs i think of when i think of love songs are of the lost/unrequited variety. :wtc:

ill look harder tommorow. What kind of music do you want? do you want something that will standout? or something that will blend in?

    http://antihero.dyndns.org/weddingmusic/07 - i found a reason.mp3

    too slow? too sparse?

I don't like the sound of traditional wedding songs either. We picked out a Jessica Simpsons ballad that we are going to use, but I don't particularly like it, it's good, just not my type... It's only one dance though, not a big deal.

Its called "If You're Not the One." Good song. My SO put that in my car one day last week so that it'd be playing when I started the car up :bigthumb:

My vote for wedding song is "I Believe in You" by Joe. It has good lyrics that could apply to marriage.

"If You're Not The One" is a great song IMO. But I don't think it's right for a wedding. It's more of a "I fucked up, don't leave me cause you are the one" kind of song. :ugh: :big grin:

I vote for "You Were Meant For Me" by Jewel. Hands down. Trust me, I'm getting married next month. :eek3:
