I need to know the best wiring for no more than $1/ft that can be run through walls and installed for a home theatre system.

    I'll need around 250ft of it :(

I also need recommendations for in wall speakers (1 for my kitchen ceiling, another for a wall in my dining room), would prefer to pay no more than $250 a pair.

Prices are, of course, roughly adjustable.

While I'd love that kind of wiring...I cannot afford 250ft of it, much less the 120ft that it'd take for my living room and using less expensive stuff for my kitchen & dining room.

I don't want to spend more than around $275 on wiring :(

I guess I should mention that I'm not running anything serious, and at a later date and time I can always run new wires to the soon-to-be-exisiting outlets, however I have half of my living room and kitchen ripped out of my house, and the guys are going to run the wire for free if I supply it.

I'm not running an amp or anything (yet...), just a Sony STR-DE975 and some Bose speakers that my father bought a while ago :o

Speaker upgrades later this year, but I've gotta pay for this remodeling work to be done first :)

I don't know how much they go for down there. But here in Canada you can get them for about 70 cents US a foot.

If it's over your budget then consider the 4PR. Still a very nice wire IMO.

Hmm, all the prices that I've found online were closer to $4/ft :(

I'll have to call around this morning and figure out where I can buy it.

And speaking of which, who the fuck pays $300/ft for SPEAKER WIRE?????????

Back then when I still had the audiophile bug I paid $190 for 3 ft of Kimber Hero interconnect with WBT connectors. When I think of it now it's crazy...but still worth every penny.

www.partsexpress.com is a decent place to buy wire.

Hmm, well the people who spend 300 on speaker wire need to realize that the differences between it and 25cent wire cant be proven by double blind tests, so if they are going to spend that kind of money, they had better know that the differences are either so very small, or that they arent there at all.
