Ok so, I don't have a pair of flip flops to wear when I go out casually. I've seen alot of guys wearing them lately and it doesn't look bad. Anyone have any suggestions as to color? Should I go black or brown? Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

I just purchased two pair this weekend!!! I got a brown leather sandal by Timberland and I purchased a durable semi-athletic black blue-black sandal by Nike.

Be sure to get that pedicure before going out!!!

    ok...

so I've narrowed it down to 2...but I think i'll end up doing what CoCo did and getting them both :o

^^ that one but in blue (hold the mouse over the blue box to get it in blue)

    or

^^ the brown in the middle of this one

Thoughts? I'll probably just get them both for the dressy pair and the athletic pair :dunno: Ironically, these seem very similar by description to CoCo's choices. :eek3:

    edit: Minus the pedicure :o

Even though I've never had a pedicure, I must agree that you better have good looking feet if you're wearing sandals in public.

I was at Preakness too... believe me, a sandal tan looks funnier.

I just got a pair of leather Gap flip-flops that are really comfortable and look cool as well. I never liked flip-flops before, but I really like these.

This girl i've been friends with for a long while that I'm pretty close with and had a shot to actually date like 6 months back but didn't because I was w/ someone...

Well, basically, i've started to look at her differently since I became single, and I'm over my recent ex for the most part now and just enjoying being single...

However, this girl that is my friend, i've started to look at in a different light as of late. Last night I asked her out and she's very cautious about the whole thing because she "doesn't want to lose me as a friend" We've been friends for a long time and been through alot and we've been there for eachother. I don't think a relationship not working would hurt our friendship, but she isn't even willing to give it a shot. She was before, but now isnt. It appears as though i've missed my chance. :sad2: :dunno:

It is very possible that she is seeing you in a new light, but my experience with females shows me that relationships with them need to be cultivated in very controlled environments. LOL, because every little thing effects the way a girl feels about you. Take her out for a romantic night, and let her see you again as someone that she in interested in.

Have you had other relationships where the path segued from 'just friends' to something more, and then ultimately went back again? If so, use that as a basis (being sure not to admit any wrongdoing in the relationship on your part), and show her that it can happen. In my experience, such a transition can smoothly take place, but only in a honest and open friendship. If one member of the relationship has bad feelings or trust issues with the now-more-than-just- friendship, then you can never go back to the way it was. Weigh all of your options, and make whatever attempt you want.

And remember that Aaliyah song: "If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again...."

PS, Wrong Forum?? Queers are great at EVERYTHING (we overdo all things to ensure that we aren't considered 'less than'), so you asked in the right place! Good luck...

good call. The thing is, I haven't ever ended up dating a friend. Girls I've dated I usually met, started to get to know casually BRIEFLY and ended up dating officialy rather quick. I've never pursued a friend like I wish to pursue her, and she mentioned she has gone that route before and it ended up bad, so she's worried about that too.

I want to take her out for a romantic night but she has her "defense" up and keep insisting just as friends. It's hard to do romantic just as friends.
