What should I be looking at/for? The one I have now is a Belkin 802.11b that is probably 2-3 years old, it's coverage in my house pretty much sucks, if I get 30' away with it and still have connection hell has frozen over. I tried changing up the broadcast channels and that shit but it hasn't helped.

Any help/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a Buffalo WHR-G125 to replace my old netgear that was dieing. I bought it because it is supposed to be one of the easiest routers to flash with DD-WRT, but I have not had a chance to do it yet.

But with stock firmware it seems to drop connection more often than I prefer, and is otherwise a bit flaky. Thus I would not recommend this router if you were to leave it stock, and the jury is still out on it with DD-WRT firmware.

I have the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 with DD-WRT on it, it works wonderfully. I never used it with the factory firmware. It took less than 5 minutes from opening the box to both read the instructions and set it up with DD WRT.
