Currently have an old ass Ti-200 Geforce 3 video card. Reason I think I need a new card is because I was having problems with my monitor a few weeks ago as when I turned it on it would flash a few times then turn off. So I bought a new one (Viewsonic VP191b) Good looking monitor, worked well, but about a week after I bought it, it is now becoming very low contrast and is starting to shimmer blink (very lightly). I've tried adjusting everything and nothing worked. So I am thinking I need a new video card, which I just have kept putting it off but I do actually need one.

What I want to know is, what would be a real good video card, that would run 95% of the games out there, but is semi-reasonbly priced and works on an AMD.

    Thanks

Best bang for buck card out there right now is the 6600GT, it'll run any game thrown at it for a good 3 years.

what mobo/cpu/ram do you have? A 6600GT is a bad move in a crappy system.

And avoid viewsonic next time... you prolly spent twice as much as you should have.
