I just use the $5 shock doctor ones from Sports Authority. Haven't had a tooth knocked out yet, and I take it a lot in the mouth.

    classic

this is the one i use. I love it and they are really easy to form. I got one of the expensive shock doctor ones and that thing was a piece of shit for forming.

Do you cut off those little hexagons? I trim the back of my mouthguards cause they make me gag.

I have a Gladiator custom fitted mouthguard and love it. Best $60 I spent on training gear.

    you can, i dont.

I trim just a tad on the top front of it because it is just a little too high for me and it can cut the inside of my mouth if i eat too many shots.

oh, and stays in place perfectly. Thing fits like a glove with or without water in your mouth.

hey hey, I've got that same one. I never use it, even though I should. Every time we roll and someone really puts the pressure on me or puts on a sloppy choke I always hear my teeth grind and feel like my mouth is about to crack open. It's no bueno but I hate juggling around a drool covered mouthpiece.

I use the same one and love it. I started off with the cheap ones from walmart, then tried everlast. Shock Doctor is the best that I have used so far.

I actually chew gum sometimes. All my fucking teeth are chipped anyways.

I have a few, but the smaller 2 tone shock doctor seems to work ok, I like to trim the backs off so I dont choke on them when im on my back.

I got the $5 shock doctor one and I love it. Slim but works. I think once my retainers and shit get done with the final mouth adjustments I'll get a custom gladiator.

Custom fit with a dental kit, not a boil and bite. Multi layered plastic. Check their site for the details I guess.

not at all. its a normal single mouthguard. so with a little water it will suck up and stick to your top row teeth. Then breathe like normal when possible. and things like that are unrelated to cardio, you probably have a deviated septum.

    you'll learn to adapt.

at least for me its harder to remember to breath. I dont do bjj so i wouldnt know. in MT i just had to learn when to breath in through my mouth and when to just hold it and breath out. its amazing how fast you'll gas when you are breathing in correctly.

I also take a sudafed 12 hour decongestant antihistamine before the gym and spray some nazonex up in there too. Usually gives a little helping hand.
