i want to get one of those glass mousepads, but i can't decide between the steelseries experience i-1 or i-2. anyone here have one? what justifies the big price jump in the i-2?

as far as a mouse goes i'll probably just get a wireless logitech optical mouse, something that tracks well on glass surface

I have a felt Steelseries mouse pad that I bought for ~$10. I wanted one that was the size of the $30-50 mouse pads without the price. It has a rubber bottom so it doesn't move. And it was $10.... and it's good enough for me. Spending a lot of money on a mousepad is pretty :hsugh: but it's your money. If the $10 Steelseries mousepad is good, I'm sure their expensive ones are awesome but again, probably unnecessary.

Wireless mouse for gaming? Pretty sure wired is still superior for that (last time I checked) and the Logitech MX518 owns for wired gaming mice.

not quite. the steelseries experience is $20, just $10 more than the cloth pad. if you're at your PC a lot, a cloth pad will wear out.

furthermore, his point on wired mice being superior for gaming may be true, but it doesn't apply to him since i'm sure he's nothing more than a casual gamer (like i am becoming as i get older).

ultimately if the price isn't too much of an issue, there is no reason to get a wired mouse.
