My MBP (non uni body) battery is pretty shitty since I leave it in all the time, its a pain to remove since I have a case on it and over the past two years it has just drained my battery. Now I can barely get 2 hours out of it.

What is the best place to order a new battery from and do they make any that last longer than the one I use now?

Why do you mention that leaving it in all the time is an issue?

i thought leaving my computer plugged in with the battery on causes the battery to slowly lose its ability to hold a charge

I live mine plugged in all the time also. iStat says the health is 98% after 2 years, but I feel like its more around 70%

Meh, not really. I have batteries that are more then 2 years old and still run close to 3 hours. Plus if you remove your battery, your Mac will slow the processor down.

Well my battery dies within two hours of being unplugged which is awful so I need to do something about that especially if I want to use it in class.

Cut back the performance settings, lower the brightness, etc.

Sad that NewerTech never released an extended battery for the MBPs. Can't see them doing it now that they've gone with an internal battery. We use to upgrade to them for all of our new machines.

    Try re-calibrating your battery.

Not trying to hijack, but just a week ago my battery swolle up and looks like its gonna blow up. Is this a common problem? Do you guys think apple will replace it?

Dont have apple care anymore, its a black macbook.

They had some issues with that in the past. Bring it in and they'll most likely replace it. Watch out because that's typically the last stage before exploding.

I bought a new battery for my MBP off ebay for ~$60 about 6 months ago. No problems, works perfect. Claimed to be official Apple battery and from what I could tell it was.
