I'm looking for a hard drive, around $75-100 in price, but I have a few questions

What brands are good/also, what ones should I stay away from?

My computer only has " 2x EIDE controllers with support for up to 4 Ultra DMA 33/66/100/133 devices." (quoted from manual). Am I stuck with IDE or is there some way to incorporate SATA into this computer? I have a SOYO KT400 Dragon Ultra mobo.

They have adaptors but you won't get any speed increase. Just pick up an IDE 133 from Seagate.
