I am looking at either the the Nikon 24-120mm Autofocus ED VR or Tamron SP AF 35-105mm F/2.8.

Anyone experience with either? Should I be looking at something else? I want something either quick or with VR.

Tamron 28-75 would be a better choice.

75 on a 1.6 i think is good enough for walk around.

After that you can just use a telephoto.

nikon has the 18-200 VR coming out. A lot seem to think it will be comparable in quality with the 24-120 but who knows.

Really....I have never tried a VR lens. The idea makes me hard though.

I think the 18-200 will be fabulous. I'll chuck the 18-70 for it.

The 18-200 VR seems like it will make a great walk-around lens. Just have to see reviews from it.

Before I posted this thread I bid on a Nikon 24-120mm VR. There are 4 days left ...hopefully I don't win it. :o

Although I still believe that I would be more than happy with it.
