I need a good mp3 player for the gym, but I dont want one that goes around my bicep because I think it will get on my nerves. What do you guys use, brand/type?

kinda curious about this myself. I am actually considering picking up a 512 shuffle because they're really cheap, and the lack of a screen and low capacity doesn't bother me for something just used in the gym. Anything cheaper out there now? I honestly haven't looked in months at the cheap ones.

ipod video, works for me. My tastes vary and change so much I would go crazy with anything less than 1GB of music on me.

I've heard some excellent reviews about the creative Zen Vision:M . I've been debating about it. It won CNET's best for 2006. It offers FM, Voice Recorder, and lots of video codecs so you can watch videos while biking or something:

    http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/zenvisionm/

Then there's also the option of the ipod video.

512mb or 1gb creative MUVO TX FM. it has an arm band...which i never use...so i just use the belt clip to strap on the inside of my shorts. also...this device has a removeable USB flash drive, which makes transferring files easy and could provide for many other uses.

I use a cheap phillips rush. It gets the job done. I would be too worried about breaking anything expensive. For the gym I wanted one that ran on AA's that way if I forget to charge it I'm not s.o.l.

I love my iRiver 1gb. It's small enough to stay out of the way, but has plenty of capacity to keep me entertained. It also has the FM tuner in it so I can tune in to the TV shortband station when doing cardio.

That's the one I have, but mine is the 512 mb one. It's hard to find cases for it. It's also hard to control with only one hand. But the 50 hr battery life is good as is the easy software.

I have the RIO Forge 128 meg and really like it. Have had it for about 3 years and never a single problem. Durable also can drop it and does not matter plus it is only like 70 bucks now so if I smash it not crying when I have to replace it.
