I'm actually just starting my first ASP.NET website. I am good at VB.NET and web development so I figure this shouldn't be that difficult. If anyone knows any good deals for ASP.NET hosting, that would be great :)

normally i would offer up a free host for you to mess around with but my windows dedi box is screwing up like a crack whore and my linux hosting doesnt offer asp.net.

My bro at ourinternet.us can hook you up with a windows plan for around 5$ a month.

You're probably best developing locally. You should be able to install IIS and everything on your computer to get it up and running. When you decide you need somewhere to host it online, it's probably worth paying for it.

I can run the website locally with VS2005, but I need to show my progress to my friend (his idea for the website). $5/month isn't a big deal, but I'd definitely want something free to start in :hs:
