What size should the neck be, in relation to the rest of the body? -- generally, of course.

there was a site (posted here maybe) that had like the ideal bodybuilding proportions, all you had to do was enter your height/wt and the output values would give you measurements...pretty cool. dunno the link :o

Reverse that for me. Though neck is 16" and arms are just under 17 1/2".

    i dont get it...
your arms are only about 2" bigger than mine.. break that down because the arm is measured by circumference, so across the diameter, it's really only about .6" bigger (from peak to base of the arm) and it looks like it's 10x bigger. :wtc:

    You lost me there, man.
    I'm shorter than you too, aren't I?

But similarly...if I stood besides Pur, his arms would look like 10x bigger too.

ok arm measurements are by circumference..

which is the diameter of your arm * 3.14..

so if someone has an arm that is 3" bigger than yours, it's really just 1" 'taller'.. which isn't all that much, but for some reason, the appearance of it is huge.

like that.. a 16" arm is about 5.3" from top to bottom.

and an 18" arm is about 6" from top to bottom, only a difference of about .7"

    calf > arm > neck
